BIOGRAPHY
Joan turned her focus to executive, leadership development and business
coaching after more than 20 years as a human resources professional in early
stage and Fortune 100 companies. Now, as a coach, facilitator and
change agent, she leverages her extensive background and experience to her
clients’ advantage. Working with leaders at all levels, she uses her
expertise to help them adapt and hone their individual styles and vision
for improved results. Joan was a human resources executive at TimeInc, ZDnet, CNET,
LookSmart and Visa USA. She is
a member of the Nominating Committee of the Girl Scouts of Northern California, a Guide
Dogs for the Blind volunteer, serves on the advisory board of the Santa
Clara University Leavey School of Business HR Leadership Program, she is a
coach/mentor for Women Unlimited and a member of PCMA. Joan serves on
the advisory boards of Voltree Power and PurePlay.
A graduate of Rhode Island College with a dual major in Education and
Psychology, she is certified in the use and interpretation of a variety of
assessment tools including the
Lominger Leadership Architect and
Voices© tools, DiSC,
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Firo-B, Booth 360, and
Personality Dimensions.
Joan's coaching clients range from companies in the Media and Entertainment,
Technology, Internet, Financial Services and the Non-Profit sectors.
Joan's clients include
Apple, Chevron, Electronic Arts, eBay, PayPal, Oracle, Comcast Interactive
Media, NetShelter, Sun Microsystems, QD Technology, Yahoo and Visa.
Her non-profit clients include Girl Scouts of Northern California,
Bridge Housing and THX Best Practices Laboratory for Windows Media.
