EXECUTIVE COACHING

Executive coaching is a developmental strategy that improves strategic leadership abilities and facilitates long-term development and increased self-awareness.  It relies on personalized developmental assessments, encourages leaders to learn about their leadership skills and to use them more effectively to achieve excellence.  Executive coaching typically involves the coach being assigned to an executive to interact on a regular basis, with several outcomes in mind:

  • Detailed strategies to address individual performance and/or developmental needs

The Process

 

Context – conduct situation analysis to understand the issues and business environment.

 

Enrolling – establish a relationship and define clear outcomes and mutual expectations.

 

Assessment – determine appropriate assessment, fact finding and feedback tools to facilitate the executive’s process of self-awareness, self-management, and development.

 

Goal setting and developmental planning – define and formalize a written action plan with desired outcomes and success measures.

 

Coaching  Plan – regular 1:1 coaching sessions that focus on self observation, using real time events and feedback to implement the plan.

 

Evaluation and Review – a review of key accomplishments and the process, take steps to ensure that development will continue.
